How to Brand the Navigator
Give the tenant's Navigator your name, logo and colors, choose the page it opens on, and arrange the search page's widgets. All of it is under the Client Settings card: open Tenants → <tenant> and click its pencil.
White label
Expand White Label Settings:
| Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| App | App Name (browser tab and header), App Description, Favicon URL |
| Homepage | Discover (default), Chat or Recommendations. Users who are not signed in always land on Discover. |
| Theme colors | Primary, secondary, header, search bar, icons, main content and tag chip colors, as hex codes |
| Logo | Web and mobile logo URL, each with width and height in pixels. Width and height are required once a URL is set. |
| Footer | Copyright (a year placeholder is replaced with the current year), text links and icon links |
| Onboarding | Welcome Title and Tag Example shown on the welcome screen |
Logos, icons and the favicon are URLs: host the images somewhere users' browsers can reach.
Search page widgets
The search page shows widgets around the results: Search Results, Q&A, Query Analysis, Expert Search, Find Similar Document, Find Authored By, Analytics and VOS Viewer.
- Widget Configuration sets each widget's title and data. Analytics needs at least one chart target; VOS Viewer needs a default size.
- Widget Layout picks a column layout (single column, main and side, two or three equal columns) and assigns each widget to a column and position.
With no layout set, the Navigator uses two columns: results in the main column, Q&A at the side.
Pitfalls
- A widget missing its required configuration is dropped on save, with a warning naming it.
- Changes take a moment to show, see When changes take effect.
Which search filters show next to the results is set per index, see Configuring search filters.
